EAST YORKS: You will have heard of Strictly Come Dancing - now it is time for Strictly Come Tea Dancing.
Replica Breguet WatchAge Concern East Riding is organising a series of tea dances across the region and is urging residents to put on their dancing shoes.
The first will be held at Market Weighton Social Hall in Southgate, Market National Soccer Jersey Wholesale Weighton, on Thursday, December 3, from 2pm to 4pm. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.
The event is part of the nationwide Fit As A Fiddle project, which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of the over-50s.
The charity also wants to hear from residents in other regions who would like to take part in similar activities in their own towns and villages.
Mark Rounding, Age Concern East Riding's chief officer, said: "We hope people will come along to enjoy the social occasion and to take part in the dancing, which is a very good form of exercise."
